I love twitter and keep up on twitbin if your a FF user. I use it and follow people in MI and MI sports, don't have to check my RSS feeds all the time.

Lots of links have taken me to stuff it would have taken years to find.

Totally cool to connect with others who love A2 & beyond. Like-minded individuals are bound to appear. I said to BBC start up, "is your wife Stephanie...who is a yoga guru." She is and its great. Love what they do. Who doesn't love books and reusing books?

Twitter lets me get to know business acquaintances at a deeper level than what would happen normally given collective time commitments. I love hearing about what they are doing - and to share what I'm doing as well so people can get to know me a little better too.
All in all, Twitter is permission voyeurism.

How can anyone not be curious about the success of Facebook or Twitter? Once you see what it is, there must be a compelling reason to stay with it, though. Facebook wore thin for me after a few months. Twitter, on the other hand, is a hotbed of conceptual development, so many spinoofs and clients it's a must do for anyone who needs to stay in touch with what the web is up to. And then there's the fun part of actually reading the tweets :)

I started using twitter to keep a small group of people periodically up-to-date on what I was working on and where I was working, both personally and for Not An MBA. What I learned (and what keeps me using twitter) is that it works best in the other direction. It lets me stay up-to-date on what other people are doing without the subtle demand for a personal response that comes with e-mail and IM. It's also a great way to find a thing or two (or ten) to read when I have a minute of down time.
