The Double Honor of Analytics authorization and AdWords certification

Pure Visibility is only one of a handful of companies to be both Analytics and AdWords certified. That number is definitely increasing, but for now the list is short, and the process of how we got here is sometimes seen as mysterious to other companies or clients.

It’s really not. The honor of both titles was the result of a strong, ongoing working relationship with Google and demonstrated, consistent competence in both the Google AdWords and the Analytics system. We also were enthusiastic and early adopters of both systems. Employee #3 Steve Loszewski was one of the first hundred people in the entire country to become an AdWords certified individual, and we were one of the first thousand companies to use analytics on our site and as many client sites as we could (because there was a time, back in the day, when the number of analytics accounts available was severely curtailed. We begged for as many account IDs as we could get).

One thing that our analytics certification does reflect is an ability to handle and manage difficult analytics questions, such as implementation of analytics in Flash, multiple site/multiple domain implementation, etc. But more importantly, we consider analytics a key business tool that should be used and relied upon by the executive marketing team at least weekly, so our primary approach in managing analytics is in creating an environment where the companies who have it installed on their sites can use it to make business decisions based on specific, focused, business-related questions.

We consider Analytics to be very special when compared to most other analytics tools in this regard: it’s designed to help business users with business questions! That’s why it is, above all, our favorite analytics product. Price is nice, and installation is a snap. But its business-friendly interface and philosophy is the key component of the tool’s appeal to us. We made that perspective clear to Google, and as far as we can tell it was a key consideration in their approval of us as an analytics authorized consultant.
